The following images show the sketches that I prepared to assist landscape designers communicate their ideas to their clients. The design credit goes to the landscape designer...I did the graphic work primarily for the following examples.

3D SketchUp Model from Designer's Info
The PROCESS:
1. The designer prepared a basic sketch of his concept along with an AutoCAD file of the site including existing site information. He provided general measurements, colors and preferred materials. Photos of the site were also helpful.
2. A SketchUp 3D version of the design was prepared utilizing the information provided. The designer checked my work at this stage to verify my understanding of his concept. We also made minor modifications to the design which became more apparent with the model.
3. A colored marker sketch on mylar was prepared from the SketchUp model. The colored version shows building materials and additional plants to give the client a better idea of what to expect the installed product to look like.
